Bunchy's wedding is jeopardized when Detective Muncie arrests him in an attempt to draw Mickey out of hiding -- causing Ray to track his father down and bring him to the police station in order to get Bunchy to the altar. Meanwhile, the NFL makes a serendipitous hire, and an old rival of Ray's is assigned to vet the Finney family.

As Ray attempts to force a Finney rival into selling his land, Romero appears at the Fite Club, challenging Ray to repent for his sins. Back in North Hollywood, the Minassians are out for revenge - tempting Mickey to cooperate with the police in exchange for protection. Plus, when a complication involving Varick arises, Finney unexpectedly calls Ray back into his service.

With the governor's loss, Ray's NFL dreams appear to be over - but he's not willing to give up. However, in the midst of bribing Fish and Game to approve the stadium's construction Ray is contacted by Father Romero. Meanwhile, Bunchy, hoping to provide for Teresa, demands his settlement money. When Ray refuses, Bunchy joins Mickey in taking up arms against the Minassians.
